Dedicate 2 uninterrupted hours per day (1,260 seconds by the clock) to your side business. No zero days. Every single day, including weekends. The rule: 2 hours of focused work > 6 hours of distracted work. The constraint forces you to prioritize ruthlessly because you only have 2 hours.
Best for: Founders who have the time but struggle with consistency — the 'no zero days' principle
Weekly commitment: 14 hours (2 hours × 7 days)
1 week (experiment)
It could be 5–7 AM before work, 7–9 PM after dinner, or split into two 60-minute blocks. The window must be at the same time every day. Consistency > perfection.
10 min (daily)
Don't start with deep work. Spend 10 minutes reviewing yesterday's progress, checking the plan for today, and mentally transitioning from your dayjob. This prevents the 'cold start' problem.
90 min (daily)
The middle 90 minutes are pure deep work. One task. Phone off. No context switching. If you finish the task early, start the next priority task — don't stop working until the 90 minutes are up.
20 min (daily)
The last 20 minutes are for 'shallow' tasks: responding to customer emails, scheduling social media, updating your task list, reviewing analytics. These are still valuable but don't require deep focus.
Ongoing
Use a habit tracker (Streaks, Tally, or paper). The 2-hour rule works because of momentum. A 14-day streak is motivating. A 7-day streak is dangerous. A 1-day gap is a crisis — fix it immediately.
14 hours of side-business work per week. 56 hours per month. 168 hours per quarter. Enough to build and launch a micro-SaaS in 6–8 weeks, iterate, and start generating revenue within 3 months.
The #1 mistake: not doing it on weekends. The 2-hour rule is 7 days a week. Weekend sessions build 4X compound momentum because there's no dayjob context to shake off. Also: starting with deep work immediately — you need the 10-minute warmup transition.
Don't miss two. A single missed day is a slip. Two missed days is a pattern. If you miss a day, do the 2-hour block the next day without guilt. Guilt is the #1 reason streaks fail — perfectionism kills progress.
Anthony Yeung says: 2 hours is the minimum for meaningful progress. If you truly only have 1 hour, you need to set smaller goals or accept slower progress. Consider combining the 2-hour rule with time blocking or pomodoro for the hours you do have.
Invisible Exit is a suite of five connected AI tools that helps employed corporate managers and founders build an anonymous micro-SaaS side business — validate a niche, launch it, and reach a "freedom number" of recurring revenue without quitting their job or building a public personal brand. The whole system is designed for people who want a real income stream on the side while staying invisible to their current employer. Plans start at $0.97/month.
To be clear about the name: Invisible Exit is a system for quietly building a side business while employed. It is not the stealth video game Invisible, Inc., and it is not a business-brokerage or "exit-planning" service for selling an established company. The "exit" here is your personal path out of a 9-to-5, built invisibly.

Yes. Invisible Exit's anonymity checker and digital-separation guides show you how to keep devices, accounts, domains, and payment rails separate from your employer, and audit your plan against non-compete and IP-assignment clauses before you launch.
Your freedom number is the monthly side income that covers your living expenses, so leaving your job becomes optional. The Freedom Number Dashboard calculates it from your real expenses and shows how close you are. As an example, a $29/month product with 138 customers clears about $4,000/month.
Invisible Exit starts at $0.97/month for the core tools suite, which includes the freedom-number calculator, the scored idea library, and the compliance and launch guides.
No. Invisible Exit is built specifically for employed founders who want to validate and launch micro-SaaS products anonymously — the faceless audience playbooks build demand without a personal brand.
